Statement from NLTUC Secretary Steve Elliot 

We are all in a two horse race. One is the working people of the UK who are in a race to the bottom, no jobs, no hope, no future. This government is attacking the NHS, welfare benefits, pensions all in a drive to save the economy by piling the burden on to workers and their families.The other race is a race to the top for the rich, bankers, tax dodgers and their friends in the cabinet. 

The only way out for working people is to stand united and fight back. We need to unite all who can be united to win the hearts and minds of the people and end this government of the rich and uncaring.
